Missions

Habitat for Humanity - We work to enable low income working families to rehabilitate and build housing. Volunteers are enlisted for designated work days. Several Newman Church members serve on the executive committee. On the first Saturday of every month volunteers meet in Newman's parking lot at 8:30 am. If you would like to join this group and have 1/2 a day to dedicate please contact Barbara Charles or the church office.

Haiti - A group from the Newman Community regularly visits Haiti to minister to those in need. This particular mission trip brings many Haitian people the necessities that they would not ordinarily have.

Mission Bazaar - Annually held the first Saturday of December with all proceeds going toward various mission work as determined by the Board of Missions. Below are pictures from our 2009 Bazaar.

Soup Kitchen - Every 9th week, volunteers staff the Park Place Soup Kitchen in Pawtucket, RI. This involves preparing, cooking and serving those in need. Generally we meet in the parking lot at 2:30 -2:45 pm to go to Park Place by 3:00 PM. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the church office.
